Phyllis Hayes


Phyllis Hayes
A great friend and supporter of the Fostoria Glass Society and the Museum. Phyllis was a Founding Member of FGSA and she and her husband Frank were instrumental in setting up the inventory system for the Museum.
Our prayers and condolences to her family.
Hayes, Phyllis Jean, formerly of Swartz Creek - age 90, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Phyllis was born August 12, 1930 in Mount Vernon, IN the daughter of Harry and Chloris (Layer) Dixon. She married Frank William Hayes Jr. on May 10, 1952 in Flint; and he preceded her in death on April 14, 2006. Phyllis worked as a Registered Nurse for Richard Lundeen M.D. for 18 years. She and her late husband volunteered at The Sloan Museum Archives for many years. She was also a Scout leader. Phyllis and Frank were founding members of The National Fostoria Glass Museum and Club. Phyllis was a member and secretary of the Great Lakes Depression Glass Society, and an active member in the National Cambridge Collectors club.

The July 2021 Nashville Elegant & Depression Glass Show and Sale has been CANCELLED

The Fostoria Glass Society of Tennessee has cancelled the July 2021 Nashville Elegant & Depression Glass Show and Sale afer learning that the Fairgrounds will not be available in July. Right now, itís projected the Fairgrounds will open to indoor events beginning September 1st. FGST is exploring the possibility have having a show later in the year. Watch for any developing information.
